JEE Main 2017:

JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main is for admissions to undergraduate engineering programs at NIT's, IIITs and other CFTIs across India. The State level and private institutions also accepted the JEE Main for admissions in UG engineering courses. The JEE Main is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced. However, top 250,000 candidates will be eligible to appear for JEE Advance. The reservation for JEE Main 2017 contains with NCL-OBC 27%, SC 15%, ST 7.5 and PWD 3%.

JEE Main 2017 exam will be held on April 2, 2017 (offline mode) and April 8-9, 2017 (online mode). The JEE Main 2017 will be conducted in 104 Indian cities and 9 international cities. The application form for JEE Main 2017 was released on December 1, 2016, and will be closed on January 17, 2017. The JEE Main 2017 results will be published on April 27, 2017, through its official website.

JEE Main 2017 Edibility Criteria:

JEE Main 2017 candidates must have fulfilled following criteria:

  • The candidates must have passed +2 (HSC) from recognized board.
  • The candidates wish admissions to B.E./B. Tech. must have to secure 50% aggregate marks in five subjects such as Physics and Mathematics along with one of the Biology/Chemistry/Biotechnology.
  • The candidates passed +2 in 2015 or 2016 can eligible for JEE Main 2017.
  • The candidates appearing for class 2012 in 2017 can also apply for JEE Main.
  • The maximum 3 times can attempt for JEE Main.
  • The general category candidate who was born on October 1, 1992, and reserved category candidate who was born on October 1, 1987, can be eligible for JEE Main 2017.

JEE Main Exam Pattern:

There will be two papers both have 180 minutes (3 hours) duration and each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks. There is no negative marking in Paper I. However, there will be deducted 1 marks for the wrong answer in mathematics and aptitude section of Paper II. Paper I includes 90 objective questions and Paper II have 82 objective questions plus 8 drawing test. The Paper I is conducted in offline and Online mode but Paper II will be conducted in offline mode only.

JEE Main 2017 will conduct Paper I for B.E. / B. Tech. and Paper II for B.Arch. / Planning. The subject wise weightage of the question for JEE Main Paper-I comprises Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics each subject have 30 objective questions.

Paper, I have comprised 90 objective question from PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) subjects of Class XI and Class II. There will be asked 30 physics questions (12 from Class XI and 18 from class XII), 30 chemistry questions (12 from Class XI and 18 from Class XII) and 30 Mathematics questions (15 from Class XI and 15 from Class XII).

Paper II will have comprises 90 objective questions of 3 sections such as Aptitude test, Mathematics and Drawing test. The Aptitude test will be contained with 50 objective questions and each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks. Mathematics test will be contained 30 objective type of question and each correct answer will be given 4 marks. The Drawing test will contain 2 questions on 2D Design and Memory.

How to apply for JEE Main 2017?

JEE main 2017 application was released on December 1, 2016, and application processed was closed on January 16, 2017. The application form can be filled in Online mode. There is no other mode to submit JEE Main Application form. The applicants can have filled the application form by visiting the official website of JEE Main 2017. The application process includes filling the application form, uploading standard of the size of photograph & applicant's signature and payment.

The major steps for registration process are as following:

  • The candidates have to visit the JEE Main official website and click on Apply for JEE Main 2017.
  • The candidates must have valid Aadhaar card number or Aadhaar enrollment number or registration number issued by CBSE facilitation center.
  • The Candidates have to fill email address, mobile number and password to complete the registration process.
  • The candidates have to fill the correct details, upload photograph, signature, and left thumb impression.
  • The candidates have to pay application fees via using a credit card / Debit card / PayTM / SBI Buddy Wallet / Cash Card or via E-challan.
  • The application process will be completed after paying the application fee.

JEE Main 2017 Admit Card:

The JEE Main 2017 Admit card can be download by visiting the official website from March 1, 2017. The admit card can be view and print out by entering roll number and date of birth. The candidate must have to carry a copy of +2 certificate along with admit card. If the candidate is appearing for class 12 examination and then have to carry a copy of admit card of 12th class examination. If the candidates have any queries about JEE Main Admit card; they can contact on JEE Main 2017 Call Center which will be started from March 2017.

JEE Main 2017 Result:

The JEE Main 2017 results will be declared by CBSE the and publish on April 27, 2017. The candidates can obtain the results by visiting the official website of JEE Main.

  • Visit the official website for JEE Main 2017.
  • Candidates have to enter the roll number and date of birth and click on submit.

The score card will be displayed after clicking submit. In the second phase, the AIR (All India Rank) list will be published on June 30, 2017.
